BlueForge Alliance (BFA) is excited to present the first-ever Industry Day, hosted by Austal, at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) in Danville, VA. Industry Day will bring together over 300 industrial partners to explore technological advancements in the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB), with a special focus on additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
Industry Day provides a platform for knowledge sharing and networking with U.S. Navy leadership and representatives, shipbuilders, key stakeholders, and project partners who are adopting and successfully implementing the U.S. Navy’s Advanced Manufacturing Mission.

The Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE), launched by the U.S. Navy, Austal USA, and several industry partners, is co-located within the Center for Manufacturing Advancement (CMA) on the campus of IALR. In conjunction with the Department of Defense’s Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program, the AM CoE promotes growth and resiliency of the U.S. Navy’s industrial base through advanced manufacturing technologies.
